Pilates Mat

Pilates Mat classes are the floor work version of the Pilates method, using your body weight as the primary source of resistance. Discover what ballet dancers and athletes have known for many years.  Pilates is more than just an exercise class.  It teaches you proper alignment and efficient movement to help cross train for any sport and prevent injuries.  Starting with proper breath and activation of the core, the class then moves intelligently through the body to work out all of your muscles, including many small, deep muscles that tend to go untrained, increasing and balancing strength and flexibility.  You will leave feeling longer and stronger.  This class has little to no impact through the joints and modifications are provided for injuries. To ensure a spot for this Pilates Mat class, you can make an online reservation now.

Power Flow

Power Flow is a 60-minute vinyasa-based yoga class with hatha & raja yoga components built in. Restorative Yoga

Our bodies have an innate ability to relax given the right circumstances. Restorative yoga uses a series of easy, supported poses held for a long time under the right conditions (including the use of many props) to tip the balance from “fight or flight” mode into maximum relaxation. Yogis developed these poses over many years, but science tells us that, under the conditions set in restorative yoga, immediate effects on heart rate, blood pressure and brain activity are possible. Emphasis on complete muscular relaxation and comfort are emphasized to achieve a quiet state of mind and body. All levels welcome. Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa means “breath synchronized movement”, sometimes also referred to as a “Flow” class, wherein the breath guides the body’s movement. Your instructor will lead you from one asana (pose) to the next either on an inhalation or an exhalation. In a Vinyasa Flow class, we move from posture to posture in a graceful, purposeful, dance-like manner. Vinyasa classes are quite diverse, depending on who your teacher is and what style of yoga they are teaching. Regardless of whether a Vinyasa class is gentle or rigorous, it will help you shift from the chaos of the outside world into a beautiful moving meditation. All levels welcome.
